just so everyone's clear... i wasn't picking on you jen... just trying to say that i really did not think that this situation warranted a public warning..

if you had a bad feeling, trust your instincts... but the comments i made were to illustrate how easy it would be to make the mistakes this person did.

if he had asked you for child porn, or said lewd comments to you, or you got to a fashion shoot and found out it was hardcore porn... those would be pretty cut and dry... but misspelling and mistyping a word is not hard enough evidence for me to allow a public warning post.

he may very well be a mass murderer... or he could be ward cleaver. (not sure which is more scary)

You guys can say what you want about me, I could care less. I'm just posting my opinion about this person. I guess I'm being alittle more careful with being a mother now and all. The guy did ask to shoot naked pics of me and my child but it was for artistic not porn, at least I really hope he didn't mean to turn it in to that.

As for the mispronoucing of names try Muskingum, it's my old street and nobody could ever spell or pronouce it. It's pretty funny hearing them try though. And for you who know my last name, people have trouble with that one too.

its always good to trust your instincts, there a lot of shady people out there, and you can only defend yourself and jenn, u did the right thing, esp with mothers intuition, always follow your gut feeling :)

I am happy to go up on the pulpit. I think that Jenn did exactly what she should have done. She expressed her concern and should be applauded for that. She did not make false accusations, simply stated her concerns. I quote from her 1st post in the thread, "Please do be careful if you decide to work with him."

If this community stands for anything, I think it should stand for mutual respect, a desire to futher our art and a commitment to protecting one another.

I know of several models -- friends -- who have encountered very unsavory characters in the past several months (most recently Lawrence Kingston; see thread elsewhere in forum). A little concern expressed publicly could have saved a lot of anguish in each case.

Thanks, Jenn.

I never wore a seatbelt till the day my first child was born.... You tend to look at life a little different after becoming a parent...

For the record... I wasn't saying anything about you ;) But even though I totally agree with going along with hunches and instincts when deciding to shoot with someone, they can't be justifications for public warnings...

WNY Models does have to worry about slander issues.. On the flip side, if I have enough evidence to support a warning (and to cover my ass legally) I will go overboard with waring people.

Muskin - gum?
Musking - um?
Muskingem?
Muse - kingem?
Muse - king - um?
Muse - kin - gum?

i dunno... i give up..
