Had the honor of working with Tamara from Jamestown Thursday night. I cannot rave enough about her. She made a 4 hour trip up to Oswego and made it on time. She and I had a 3 hour shoot on a night not conducive to photography but we managed to get some great shots between the raindrops and swatting biting insects. Here are some examples from that night:

Thanks Alli :-)

My schedual is full next week with a shoot with Marisa and taking a day off to see the Corning Glass Museum with the clan. I should be free nights (after 5pm) the weeks of 7/19 -7/23 and again 7/26 -7/30 while I teach at the Art Institute. After that it's back to the old schedual of Wednesdays and Thursdays free for 2 and a half weeks. After that my life is a big ? because I leave my Corrections job and start grad school.

Here's another of Tamera who now is a member of our wnymodels community:

That third one is stunning. What's your method of converting to b&w (if you don't mind sharing your secrets)?
I have no lid upon my head, but if I did you could look inside and see what's on my mind.

No trade secrets here...I just shoot them in black and white mode in-camera and convert them to gray scale in PS. I'm playing around with LAB settings for converting color images to b+w but I find it easier just to shoot b+w if I think the image calls for it. God bless digital cameras. For those who used to have to change out color film or cameras for b+w and vise versa you know what I mean.

Glad to see you're back :-)

Here's yet another image from that night. It was an eight second exposure to burn in the background and a pop of the flash to light her.
