Here are a few images of the semester-long project I've been working on for the past 2 months. The concept is twilight/night imagery with emphasis on mixed light sources which gives off different color casts. As one professor called it "The time of day when God's light balances that of man's"

The courses have been challenging and time consuming hence my absence here. Hopefully we can get some more action on this board as it seems to have died down to a sporadic post once in a great while. How 'bout it people...anything to say about these?

ps. I know its a long way from my usual posting of beautiful women but everyone has to streach out of their shell once in a while. Plus, now that I'm in school full-time and spending 12+ hours a day at it, the free time and fundage has dried up. I'll go back to my regular posts down the road, I promise ;-)

I really like all three iamges. They set a modd in each one. The First one reminds me of a quiet summer night in the south (I Dunno why it just does), second one reminds me of a spring night on the coast, with mist in the air with a cool breeze. The last one reminds me of the morning after a late night

Good Stuff!

Thanks Jimmy.

I've always wanted to try a series along these lines and doing it in digital has helped immensely. While I'm a firm believer that the equipment doesn't make the photographer I have to say the D70 is an amazing camera. I've barely scratched the potential surface. The 8x12 prints of these images really hold up well.

I fear that shooting them is fast coming to a close for the season as it's getting too cold and raw out there. Here's another one from the series.

Yeah I Get confused between the D100 and the D70. I used one of them for a while when my Partner lent it to me.

Amazing camera. But the Price tag was a bit off.

I grabbed a Canon Digital Rebel and to be honest, blew it away. Just my take. I have been a Canon man almost all my life, except for my first Pentax in college. It was a good 300 dollars cheaper and I have three lenses now for the Canon EOS.

Just my take nothing more.

I like the last image but in my opinon there is TOO much open space. Like the concept, and the lighting is wonderful, but IMO the DINER is far too low. You lose out on the flow of the image completely. ???
