I am planning to drive across America this summer to promote my web site. I would like to visit all of the scenic places such as Mt Rushmore, and I am going to be doing newspaper/tv interviews and things like that.

I am worried about the weather because I want to be able to shoot any time of day. Is there a best time of day to shoot?

Hello...David is it? Welcome to the forum.

What website are you promoting? (has nothing to do with your question - just curious)

What will you be photographing? That makes a difference. Scenery? People? If the latter, the best light is at sunrise or sunset where you get that sweet, warm light. You can photograph people anytime of day, but if it's bright, sunny, and around noon you'll get dark eyes. You can remedy that with a reflector or fill flash. You can also look for some open shade. Either way, it'll take some practice.

Be more specific in what you're photographing and what you're trying to accomplish and we can help you more.
I have no lid upon my head, but if I did you could look inside and see what's on my mind.
