Getting listed on Western New York Models is easy!

• This is a free service to promote models and photographers. No experience is necessary. Actors, Actresses, Agents, Agencies and Makeup Artists are also promoted. You do not have to be from Western NY, however the site is geared to promote models from WNY and surrounding areas (we have modeling sites for every State in the USA and the major Canadian Provinces, more details will be posted soon)   

Portfolio Setup Instructions: 

(Members prior to 05/05/08: Try the following procedure by clicking here. If it doesn't work, you will need to create a new account)

09/02/08 The following is a rough walk through of setting up your portfolio.

1. Register a NEW Account on the forum (during registration choose your usergroup photographer / model).  Check your email for the activation code and activate your account. (add *@wnymodels.com to your friend list)
2. Login to the forum for the first time, then click on "Board Index". 
3. Next to the User Control panel you will see 2 links: "Portfolio Info" and "Portfolio Images".  
4. Click "Portfolio Info". Fill out all of the information on that form and press "submit"  (Photographers: for Address/Phone number, you can put in 555-555-5555 for phone and "contact me for address" for address)
5. Once you have submitted your info, Click "Portfolio Images".  
6. Then click "Browse" and search your hard drive for the images you wish to upload, select the image then click "Upload picture"  (You may upload up to 8 images, this may increase in the future. Image restrictions : minimum size 15kb. Images will automatically be thumbnailed).
7. When you are done uploading all of your images, choose the image you want as your profile image and click "Set as profile picture". IMPORTANT! : When you are 100% finished with uploading ALL of your images and have set your profile image, YOU MUST CLICK "SEND ACTIVATION REQUEST" (DO NOT do this for EVERY image, wait until all your images are uploaded).  A message will be sent to the admin and moderators to review the images for approval (should take less than 24 hours). Once your images are approved, your portfolio will go live.
8. For an ADULT Portfolio (if you do that type of work): This is for any images of an adult nature that may be inappropriate for minors to view. (Figure art, fetish, etc.. if you are in the adult business, there really is not a need to post penetration or hardcore samples, regular nudes should suffice). Anywhoo to gain access, to the adult forums you must have and adult portfolio.  To do so: click on "Control Panel", then the "Adult Portfolio" tab, then upload your images the same as you did under your regular portfolio.   IMPORTANT! : When you are 100% finished with uploading ALL of your images and have set your profile image, YOU MUST CLICK "SEND ACTIVATION REQUEST" (DO NOT do this for EVERY image, wait until all your images are uploaded). Once you've been granted adult access you will also be able to view the adult forum and other adult portfolios. 
9. Once your your portfolio is listed, it is highly recommended that you post something on the forum announcing yourself!
10. NOTE to all members: 
    In order to receive messages you must make sure your settings are correct. Click "Control Panel" --- Board Preferences --- And make sure you have answered YES to each of these three:
    • Users can contact me by e-mail: Yes 
    • Administrators can e-mail me information: Yes 
    • Allow users to send you private messages: Yes

    IMPORTANT: Look at #10 Above:  Your email address is not published publicly.  All contact is via the forum 'relaying' the contact emails.  HOWEVER these options mentioned above MUST BE ENABLED in order for people to contact you.  If you change these to NO, then we may have to remove your portfolio (if there is no way to contact you, then it's pointless to list your portfolio)

There are several steps to setup your free portfolio listing on WNY Models, here is a walkthrough:

05/05/08 The following is a rough walk through of setting up your portfolio, it will be revised in the upcoming days/weeks!

Portfolio Setup Instructions: 

1. Members who joined prior to May 5th 2008: Login to your Account on our Forum.  
2. When you login to the new forum for the first time, you will need to change your usergroup to either "model" or "photographer". To do this, click on "Control Panel", then the "Usergroup" tab, then "change group". Then click the name of the group you wish to belong to. (hit APPLY / OK).  (In the future we may have groups for Agents/Agencies and Makeup Artists if there is a demand). 
3. Then click on "Board Index"
4. Next to the User Control panel you will now see 2 links: "Portfolio Info" and "Portfolio Images" 
5. Click "Portfolio Info". Fill out all of the information on that form and press "submit"  (Photographers have a spot for Address/Phone number, the reason for this is that models would most likely be more willing to work with you if this information is made public, this helps show you're an established business.. if you're worried about privacy you can put in 555-555-5555 for a phone number and "contact me for address" for the address but i would recommend against it)

You must request Adult access from the admin or moderators (YOU CAN DO SO BY CLICKING HERE- link to come soon). once given access, click on "Control Panel", then the "Adult Portfolio" tab, then upload your images the same as you did under your regular portfolio.   IMPORTANT! : When you are 100% finished with uploading ALL of your images and have set your profile image, YOU MUST CLICK "SEND ACTIVATION REQUEST" (DO NOT do this for EVERY image, wait until all your images are uploaded). Once you've been granted adult access you will also be able to view the adult forum and other adult portfolios. (this forum access feature may not be setup as of 4/30/08, however it will be within the next few days)
13. NOTE to all members:
